Lifetime Licences: Usage and Licensing Guide

All OCD Doodles resources are protected by copyright.

When you purchase a resource, you are not buying the artwork itself. You are buying a licence to use it in a specific way.

This page explains what the two lifetime licence options cover, what they do not cover, and when a separate licence is needed.

Which licence do I need?

Personal Use Lifetime Licence

Choose this option if you would like to use OCD Doodles for your own personal reflection, understanding, or support.

This licence is for personal, non-commercial use only.

Single Practitioner Lifetime Licence

Choose this option if you are one qualified, regulated mental health professional wanting to use OCD Doodles in your own 1:1 client work.

This licence is for one practitioner only. It does not transfer to clinics, teams, organisations, or shared practice settings.

Personal Use Lifetime Licence

You may:

  • print copies for your own personal use

  • use the materials privately for reflection or self-understanding

  • use the materials in private discussion with your own therapist

You may not:

  • share files with others

  • post the materials online or on social media

  • use the materials in client work, teaching, training, or commercial settings

  • include the materials in books, blogs, courses, workbooks, or other publications

  • alter, crop, edit, rebrand, or adapt the artwork in any way

Single Practitioner Lifetime Licence

You may:

  • print multiple physical copies for use in your own 1:1 client work

  • use the materials in private 1:1 sessions with your own clients

  • use the materials in private therapeutic discussion with clients

  • use the materials in not-for-profit educational presentations delivered by the licence holder

  • incorporate the materials into worksheets you create for your own 1:1 client work, provided those worksheets are not resold, published, or distributed more widely

You may not:

  • share standalone digital files with clients or other practitioners

  • give, sell, or pass files on to other professionals

  • include the materials in books, blogs, workbooks, paid courses, paid workshops, or other publications

  • post the materials on websites or social media

  • reuse the materials across multiple practitioners, clinics, teams, organisations, or training providers

  • alter, crop, edit, rebrand, or adapt the artwork in any way

What neither licence allows

Regardless of licence type, OCD Doodles materials may not be:

  • reproduced in published works

  • adapted or repackaged as original content

  • used for marketing, coaching, or commercial programmes

  • shared publicly online or on social media

  • altered, edited, overlaid, or rebranded in any way

Purchasing a resource does not transfer copyright.

All artwork and materials remain the intellectual property of OCD Doodles / Laura Johnson.

A note on intention

These images were created to support clarity, recognition, and shared understanding of OCD.

The licensing is designed to allow meaningful use in therapy and personal reflection, while protecting the integrity of the work and the people it is intended to support.

Thank you for respecting these boundaries.

Closing thoughts

I am not a clinician. These resources are grounded in lived experience of OCD and shaped by years of learning, reflection, and conversations with therapists and people with OCD.

I created these images because I needed clearer ways of understanding my own experience. If they help someone recognise their OCD sooner, feel less intimidated by it, or approach therapy with more clarity and confidence, then they have done what I hoped they would do.
