Welcome to OCD Doodles…

Hi, I’m Laura — a scientist, mum of two, person with OCD, and the creator of OCD Doodles.

I was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) at the age of 29, after more than two decades of silently battling intrusive thoughts and the inner chaos they bring. It then took me another five years to access the right treatment.

That journey — long, confusing, and often lonely — is one I know many others share. Through OCD Doodles, I hope to change that.

By creating accessible, visually engaging infodoodles, my mission is to help rewrite the narrative around OCD — one accurate, compassionate piece of content at a time.

OCD Doodles exists to…

  • Get accurate information into the hands of those who haven’t yet been diagnosed.

  • Shift public perception, so OCD is recognised as the serious, often debilitating disorder it is — not a personality quirk.

  • Help people with OCD explain their experiences to loved ones, friends, and healthcare professionals.

  • Create relatable content that reminds people with OCD they are not alone — and that they’re part of a creative, understanding, and empathetic community.

  • Guide those seeking help toward evidence-based resources and qualified ERP (exposure and response prevention) therapists.

  • Inspire and empower people with OCD to make the most of treatment through encouraging and motivating tools.

Thank you so much for being here and supporting this work.

Together, we can change the conversation around OCD — and help more people get the understanding and support they deserve.
